To some people, Willow's story seemed negative and upsetting. You see, Willow's health was a challenge. But as many a parent of special needs children will testify - these are in reality, positive stories. These are stories where love of life, halved sorrows and doubled joys abound. These are stories which inspire and motivate. Willow's story is such a joyful, positive one. And Willow's wisdom has touched my life personally as well.

This watercolour style painting was to be a gift from Willow's one human to the other human, both of whom strived side by side to make Willow's life wonderful. The reference photo (taken by Johann Theron) and story inspired me to positively reflect a beautiful dog's love of life. Her free, joyful spirit motivates celebration of each day. It was indeed a privilege to create a lasting memory for Willow's humans - along with the message she inspired everyone to live by.
