Appearance: Medium, muscular build, powerful, energetic, friendly.
Weight/Height: 43 - 48cm; 20-30 kg
Coat Colours/Texture: Short, stiff, glossy. Black, White, Brown, Blue, Fawn sable, Blue Fawn, Red Brindle, Blue Fawn Brindle, Liver, Black Brindle, Fawn Brindle, Blue Brindle, Liver Brindle, Fawn, Red, Seal Brown, Red Sable, Brown Brindle.
Grooming: Soft bristle brush weekly. Some shedding in spring and autumn.
Character/Temperament: Affectionate, playful and people pleaser. Can be a couch-potato. Not a barker but can be protective. Can be very aggressive with other dogs. Even when very friendly it should be closely supervised around people and pets.
Compatibility with other animals/cats: Needs socializing and supervision.
Compatibility with people/children: Needs socializing and supervision.
Indoors/Outdoors: Indoors primarily, but enjoys outdoors for exercise.
Exercise/Training: High energy needs regular exercise. Easy to train but can be destructive when it needs to relieve the energy levels.
Longevity/Health: Up to 16 years. Occur sometimes: Skin problems, thyroid, hips, elbows, heart and cerebellar hyperplasia -
